Interactive workshop covering preparedness for the types of major disasters we could experience in our area such as wildfire, earthquake, flooding, and terrorism. Session 2 requires attendance at Session 1. Both sessions are free to the public.

2026 National Fire Prevention Week Fire Safety Event and Open House

Deer Springs Fire Station 2 1321 Deer Springs Rd. San Marcos (I-15 and Deer Springs Rd.)
A family event with activities for the kids, fire apparatus on display, fire safety information, vehicle accident victim extrication demonstration, and information from vendors of home hardening and fire safety products and services.
OUR MISSION
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
The Council disseminates proven measures for fire safety through the use of instructional literature, community meetings, training seminars, newsletter articles and this website .
PREVENTION
The Council is actively engaged in mitigating the threat of future wildfires within the community through programs such as neighborhood chipping and fuel break creation.
